As of October 1st, 2015, the CCB will require new home inspectors to pass the National Home Inspector Examination rather than the current CCB exam. The cost of the NHI exam is $225 rather than the $50 that the CCB currently charges. They are also intending to remove the maximum limits on how many points can be earned from certain activities. Today, in addition to passing a test, Oregon applicants must accumulate 20 education points in various sources.
